GPS OLD BOYS RUGBY SCHOLARSHIP
The GPS Old Boys Rugby Scholarship is designed to support outstanding new and continuing players 18 to 20 who have demonstrated exceptional ability in rugby to combine a tertiary/trade education with high performance sport. This Scholarship is awarded based on the yearly available funding from donors. (typically $4,000p.a.) Amounts are awarded in consideration of the athlete’s highest level of sports achievement. This Scholarship has a one-year term and is open to new and continuing players.

2020 AGM NOTICE
The Management Committee invites all members to attend the Annual General Meeting to be held on Thursday 10th December at 7.00pm at the clubhouse.
Please be advised that the election of office bearers is to be conducted at the Annual General Meeting as per notice. Nominations are invited for the following positions.

All members are encouraged to nominate for positions. Nominations will close at 5.00pm on Thursday 26th November 2020. All nominations are to be with the secretary by this time. Nomination forms are available here.
Please note that only members and life members are entitled to vote at an AGM. Members under the age of 18 are not entitled to vote but may be represented by an adult with a maximum of one representative and vote per family.

Welcome Shane Arnold!
GPS Rugby Club is excited to announce the appointment of Shane Arnold as the Head Coach of 1st Grade for 2021!
Shane returns to GPS in the head coach role, having last been involved at the club in 2014. He then coached at NRC level with Brisbane City, Australian U20’s Assistant Coach and Queensland Reds Assistant in 2016 and 2017.
The club is looking forward to having Shane on board again, and no doubt the extended GPS community are excited to have the GPS old boy back too!
The club hopes to confirm Shanes assistants for the 2021 season in the coming days
Welcome Steve Meehan!
GPS Rugby Club is excited to announce the appointment of Steve Meehan as the Director of Rugby.
Steve has an abundance of coaching experience over the past 25 years – which started as our Colts 1 coach in 1995. He then went on to coach at Stade Francais and Toulon in France, Kintetsu Liners in Japan, was Head Coach at Bath in England where they won the won the European Challenge Cup in 2008, and has coached at the Queensland Reds and Western Force in the Super Rugby competition. He is currently Director of Rugby and Brisbane Boys College and will continue in this role.
Steve will now work with the club to appoint a team of coaches, including the 1st Grade Head Coach role, to fill the vacancy left by the departure of Elwee Prinsloo, who has given the club 4 years of service as the Director of Rugby, Assistant Coach of the Premiership winning 1st Grade side in 2018, and Head Coach the last two years.
We thank Elwee for his service and we welcome Steve for the next era of success at GPS Rugby Club.
